This exhibit depicts an open reduction internal fixation surgery to repair a transverse comminuted patellar fracture, an incision is made over the patella, the fracture is debrided and bone clamps are used to reduce the fracture. K-wires and a tension band are used to fix the fracture and the incision is usually closed with staples.
