To place a permanent spinal cord stimulator, a needle is place at the midline at T2-3 and leads are advanced into the epidural space. An incision is made to expose the soft tissue and interspinous ligament, and the leads are fixed with sutures. The spinal cord stimulator implant is placed in the left flank area and is connected to the leads.
