Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is brain damage or dysfunction caused by outside force. The exhibit features injury to the head and brain that occurs during whiplash. The brain knocks against the front and back of the skull as the head is thrown backward and forward, damaging the frontal, temporal, and occipital lobes of the brain.
