This exhibit demonstrates the surgical procedures of an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion at the C4-7 vertebral levels using a DePuy prosthetic and locking plate. Through an incision at the anterior neck, the vertebral bodies are exposed and a discectomy is performed. A microdissection of the nerve roots is then performed, followed by the preparation of the vertebral end plates. A DePuy prosthetic is placed into each disc space and anterior fixation is achieved using a DePuy locking plate and screws.
