This exhibit depicts the anterior cervical discectomy and fusion at C4-5. The disc material is removed from the disc space between the vertebrae using rongeurs to prepare for rasping of the C4-5 end plates. A cage is filled with bone graft and is inserted into the C4-5 disc space and secured with a Globus plate and screws, stabilizing the vertebrae.
