This exhibit depicts an anterior cervical discectomy and disc replacement surgery at C5-6. Anterior osteophytes are removed from the vertebrae with a drill. Disc material is completely removed with rongeurs. Bilateral foraminotomies are performed, and the end plates are prepared for the placement of a ProDisc disc replacement into the C5-6 disc space.
