The exhibit depicts the anterior cervical discectomy and fusion at C5-6. Disc material is extracted from the disc space between the vertebrae using rongeurs to prepare for drilling of the C5-6 end plates. An LDR cage is filled with mixed graft and is inserted into the C5-6 disc space and secured with plates, stabilizing the vertebrae.
