The exhibit features an anterior retroperitoneal discectomy procedure with fusion at L2-3 and L4-5. After making an incision in the lower abdomen, vertebrae L2-L5 are exposed and discectomies performed at L2-3 and L4-5. The endplates are decorticated and perimeter cages with infuse are inserted into the disc spaces. Fixation of L2-3 and L4-5 is completed with placement of pyramid plates and screws.
