The exhibit features greater occipital nerve treatment through injection and radiofrequency ablation. During a nerve root block, steroid or medication is injected where the occipital nerve enters the skull to reduce inflammation. During nerve root ablation, the occipital nerve roots are treated with heat to interrupt nerve function for a semi-permanent period of time.
