In this surgical procedure, a significant pressure ulcer is debrided and necrotic tissue removed. A skin flap is incised and pulled medially over the ulcer. The incision is sutured closed and a Jackson-Pratt (JP) drain is introduced to suction remaining bodily fluids from the surgical site.
