The exhibit illustrates a left hip hemiarthroplasty. The femoral head is excised with a bone saw and the femoral canal is broached. The femoral prosthesis is inserted into the femoral canal to replace the femoral head. The prosthetic implant interacts with the acetabulum to repair the hip joint.
