The exhibit illustrates left hemilaminotomy, decompression, and fusion at L4-S1. After removing part of the lamina at L4-5 and L5-S1 unilaterally, disc material is excised and foraminotomies are performed. Pedicle screws are placed at L5 and S1 and a burr is used to decorticate L5-S1. To complete the fusion of L4-S1, bone graft is held in place with an Expedium offset plate, screws, washers, and locking nuts.
