The exhibit illustrates a left knee posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) reconstruction surgery. Tunnels are drilled in both the tibia and femur to allow for an achilles tendon allograft to be placed across the knee joint through the tunnels. The tendon graft is secured with screws and replaces the torn PCL.
