The exhibit depicts open surgery to treat a distal radius malunion. The pronator quadratus muscle is dissected away and an osteotomy of the malunion is is performed. The contractured brachioradialis tendon is lengthened as well as the distal radius. Fixation of the malunion is completed using a plate and screws.
