Preoperative condition is shown as a right distal radius comminuted fracture with intra-articular displacement. Volar incision is made and the skin soft tissues are dissected to expose the pronator quadratus muscle. This muscle is then elevated to reveal the distal radial fracture. Reduction of the displacement is achieved with the insertion of two k-wires. Once alignment is obtained the fracture id fixated with an Acumed plate and multiple screws. Postoperative condition shows the reduction and alignment of the wrist bones with surgical hardware.
