The exhibit illustrates lumbar spine surgery at the left L2-3 and right L3-4 levels. After placing bilateral working tubes at L2-3 and L3-4, rongeurs remove bone and disc material to relieve pressure on the spinal cord. A radiofrequency device performs a bilateral annuloplasty procedure to complete the surgery.
