This exhibit demonstrates the surgical procedures of an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion at the C5-6 vertebral level using a PEEK cage and locking plate. Through an incision at the anterior neck, the vertebral bodies are exposed. An annulotomy and discectomy are performed, removing the disc material, followed by a bilateral foraminotomy. After the end plates are drilled, a PEEK cage with mixed graft is impacted into the disc space and fixation is achieved using a locking plate and screws.
