This animation depicts a posterior lumbar fusion and instrumentation at L4-S1. An incision is made, exposing the lumbar spine. A laminectomy, complete facetectomy, and discectomy is performed. Bone graft is harvested from the right iliac crest and packed into Capstone cages. The cages are placed into the L4-5 and L5-S1 disc spaces. L4-5 is fused with pedicle screws, rods and mixed bone graft.
