The exhibit illustrates surgery of the posterior cervical spine at C5-6 & C6-7. After exposing the surgical site, lateral mass screws are inserted at bilaterally. Next, partial laminectomy and foraminotomy are performed, then the posterior elements are decorticated. Finally rods and mixed bone graft are placed over the decorticated C5-7 levels to achieve posterolateral fusion.
